CHESHIRE, CT – August 18, 2025 – Rebellion Group, a dynamic and forward-thinking marketing and technology company, has unveiled a significant leadership realignment aimed at propelling the organization into its next phase of growth and innovation. This strategic move underscores Rebellion Group’s dedication to proactively shaping the industry’s future through a human-centric approach in an increasingly data-driven world.
The reorganization is a direct response to the evolving market landscape and reflects the company’s core belief that while data and AI are critical, lasting success depends on the people, creativity, and strategic insight that guide them.
“This is more than just a realignment; it’s a statement about where we’re headed,” said Bryn Tindall, Rebellion Group’s owner and founder. “With a market in flux, we believe this is the time to advance. For some time now, we’ve been assembling a high-end strategic team to position ourselves for tomorrow; a team that understands that the jobs that were our bread and butter are not here anymore. We need to retool and refocus to succeed.”
Leadership changes include:
- BJ Kito, Chief Strategy Officer, has been named President.
- James Dowd, Chief Creative Officer, will also serve as Chief Operating Officer.
- Bryan Czajkowski transitions from COO to Chief Technology Officer.
- Grant Flannery, Head of Strategy, joins the Executive Leadership Team.
In his new role, Kito will focus on continuing to establish Rebellion Group as a powerful partner to businesses and brands, while carving out a unique and ownable position in the marketplace.
“The market is demanding deeper insights, increasingly measurable performance, and more efficient execution,” said Kito. “With the establishment of Virtuoso, Rebel, and 535; the development of Krakin.ai; the integration of Multi-Dimensional Intelligence™ into our strategic process; and the adoption of Psycholinguistics, Authentic Audience, 4D Brand Dimensions, and Cognitive-driven Engagement—we’ve laid the groundwork. Now it’s time to codify these elements and define our position in the marketplace. To set a new benchmark for critical thinking and imaginative work, we must harness AI to amplify both heart and mind. But the human element will always be our greatest asset—technology can’t replace that.”
Echoing Kito, Dowd noted that, “We are infusing the creator’s mindset – the strategist and the artist – into everything we do. Typically, operations focus on a desire to streamline, and to increase productivity and profitability, but the humanity is always lost – the trust, the passion, the energy, the comprehension, collaboration, conceptual and critical thinking only humans truly possess. In a world of AI and automation, the human factor is the x-factor; it’s invaluable.”
On the technology side, Czajkowski will focus on driving technology innovation internally as well as for Rebellion’s clients.
“It’s our responsibility to stay on the cutting edge and help clients navigate the current, future, and unforeseen challenges through technology” he said. “That means immersing ourselves, vetting, and developing a perspective on all platforms and potential solutions before a client might ever ask about them.”
This reorganization marks a pivotal moment for Rebellion Group as it embarks on a new trajectory, one defined by its commitment to leading the market, embracing a humanity-first approach, and delivering unparalleled value to its clients.
The new direction is embodied in a concept Kito has defined as XQ, or Exponentially Human Quotient. Intended to be more than a shift in mindset, XQ is a tangible framework; a blueprint to create Exponentially Human Market Momentum.
“XQ is our shared language and creative edge,” said Dowd. “It’s not abstract; it’s the power behind lightning-bolt moments that feel personal, universal, and unforgettable. Intellectually sharp, emotionally resonant, and driven by AI, XQ is how we make work that truly connects.”
From a strategic standpoint, “XQ gives us the opportunity to push boundaries with clarity, creativity, intent, and, most importantly, humanity,” added Flannery. “We’ll continue to challenge conventions, create world-class work, and push the agency forward into our next era.”
