Entrepreneurs Figure It Out

Ahead of Forum@535, Rebellion Group CEO Bryn Tindall and XVIVO Scientific Animation CEO Michael Astrachan joined WFSB’s Eyewitness News Extra to talk about entrepreneurship, leadership, technology, and what it takes to keep a business moving forward.
Astrachan’s own career makes the point. He started as a painter and commercial artist before moving into computer animation as the technology became accessible. Medical work began coming his way, he followed the opportunity, and eventually built XVIVO into a Connecticut-based scientific animation company.
“You know what you’ll find that’s consistent with entrepreneurs is there’s no straight path to success,” Tindall said. “You try something, you try something else, you adapt…you constantly have to evolve.”
That willingness to adapt is at the heart of Forum@535, an event designed specifically for CEOs, business owners, and entrepreneurs to have candid conversations about growth, innovation, failure, succession, and the decisions that come with building a company.
For Tindall, one quality in particular separates entrepreneurs from people who simply talk about ideas.
“The specific trait that entrepreneurs have that I most admire is, you know, figure it out, get it done,” he said. “I think we have a lot of people who talk about stuff and don’t do stuff.”
