James Dowd Named 2026 C-Suite Honoree | Rebellion Group

Hartford Business Journal Names James Dowd a 2026 C-Suite Honoree

Balancing big creative ideas with the operational demands of running an agency is no small feat. But for James Dowd, Rebellion Group’s Chief Creative Officer and Chief Operating Officer, the two responsibilities go hand in hand.

That approach to leadership has earned James recognition as a Hartford Business Journal 2026 C-Suite Honoree, an award that celebrates executives who are making an impact through their leadership, vision, and contributions to their organizations.

At Rebellion Group, James wears two very different hats. As Chief Creative Officer, he helps drive the ideas, storytelling, and innovative thinking behind our work. As COO, he helps make sure we have the people, processes, and collaborative environment to bring those ideas to life. Both roles reflect his belief that creativity should extend beyond the work we produce to influence how we collaborate, solve problems, and approach new challenges.

James brings decades of experience across advertising, branding, entertainment, and marketing, working with major national brands, emerging businesses, and organizations navigating change. He continues to champion the human side of creativity, particularly as AI and emerging technologies reshape how we work and how our clients connect with their audiences.

His leadership has helped shape Rebellion’s culture, encouraging us to challenge conventional thinking, embrace new ideas, and find better ways to deliver meaningful results for our clients.

We’re proud to see James recognized among Connecticut’s business leaders and congratulate him on this well-deserved honor.
